This week I received a call from a father of a 12 day old baby boy, who was born with both cleft lip and cleft palate. Immediately, I contacted my friend Oseas from Dental Familiar, a dental clinic in Guatemala City that specializes in pediatric dentistry and has tons of experience with pre and post surgical care for cleft children. The family was given an appointment the very next morning and when I met them it was...

We recently returned from a summer visit to the USA. Maribel visited with childhood friends in Boston. She had a wonderful time reacquainting with them and experienced camping and water parks. I had desired for our daughter to experience the summertime in the south so Catherine and I visited with her grandparents in Virginia. God provided the perfect opportunity for her to do just that. She swam in pools, went body boarding in the ocean, and visited...Read more
For two years now, our daughter has been blessed to attend a Christ centered school here in Guatemala that was established forty years ago to educate missionary kids (MK's). The unique thing about CAG is that the teachers are voluntary full-time missionaries, themselves. So they see their students as the mission field and genuinely love them and help them grow as people. Our ministry is partnering with Christian Academy of Guatemala to help find more volunteer teachers who are called to come and serve these awesome children in Guatemala. Below...Read more

Our daughter attends the school and the director asked me to help organize the event. So the camp was held after school on three days for each of the last two weeks. Two other parents and myself were able to show the love of Jesus to the children who attended from kindergarten through fifth...Read more

Their office is here in Guatemala City but families travel from all over Guatemala to come for the free consult to adjust their child's obturator and receive instruction from the staff. I knew that the family of the newborn baby had their appointment later in the morning, but I felt led to be there during the entire session. After being there for...Read more
I just want to start off by saying God is good all the time and all the time God is good. That's a phrase that I learned in the late 90's at an old storefront church in Amelia, Virginia where alcohol & drug addictions were miraculously taken from me while I was praying at the alter. That was more than sixteen years ago and twelve of those years I've spent serving the Lord full-time in Guatemala and three other Central American...Read more
